Seeing Delhi

qutb.jpg

The hotel arranged for me to have a car and driver for the day today, it cost something like 10 pounds. I left the hotel at about midday because I was up late doing email last night. In spite of leaving so late, I was able to see a lot of the tourist attractions in Delhi and get back in time to hang out with Marlene and Dharma.

Qutb Minar: A really old place with lots of Moslem temples and a big tall sandstone tower that used to be one of the wonders of the world.

Bahai Temple: A massive temple that looks like a lotus. I meditated in there for a while. It was very heart-opening.

Raj Ghat: Shrine in honor of Gandhi.

Imperial Hotel: Very posh hotel. Had a sandwich there.

India Gate: The Champs-Elysees of the East.

Red Fort: An old ruined sandstone fort. A national historic monument. I urinated against the outer wall under direction from one of the staff.
