Book Cover Judgements

The are some labels that disgust me. Take Baskin Robbins for example, which has seriously disgusting signage. I have never entered a Baskin Robbins and I probably never will. I expect that the ice cream is delicious but I just can't get past the busy font and that horrid pink. And what's the deal with 31? Only 31 types of ice cream? Isn't it a bit limiting to fix that into your company name?

Another label that disgusts me is the name cous cous. It sounds like a cross between an endearment and an insult. To me it sounds like "you pussy" mixed with "kitty kitty", in some foreign language. "Cous" also sounds like "wuss". Additionally, the sharp "k" sound is reminiscent a certain harsh insult. And the cherry on the cake is the repetition; as if once wasn't enough.

If someone asks me if I want some cous cous, my knee-jerk reaction is to say no. On the other hand, I was at a friends place the other night and I ate some cous cous and it was lovely. I like it once I forget what it's called.

I hope that I have not deterred any lovers of Baskin Robbins or cous cous.
