Transfiguration
This darkness.
Who knows this darkness?
I do.
I know this darkness.
I know this suffering.
And this wall
of knowing glances
passed across it
in a splendid sweep of crisp examination
of the truth that lives beneath it all.
This vague, undervalued depth
of gray shimmering echos
of past
is released in the visceral reality
of experienced humanity
as the fire of becoming
consumes it all
in a great conflagration
of transfiguration.
The creation of Transfiguration was a therapeutic process for me. I awoke at 3am and began. As I created it, my partner, sleeping in the neighboring city, dreamt fitfully about the very issues that I was visiting passionately in my mindless art.
