Memo to Secretary

Dear Miss Partridge,

The work you do
for me is great.
I love the way
you stay here late.

Agenda-wize,
you watch the clock
and after hours
you lick my stamps.

If I could only
know for sure,
you won't be walking
out the door,

your next promotion,
I'd be crafting,
based upon
your weekly reviews.

The board is really
cutting back.
I'm even scared
I'll get the sack.

But I'm sure our profit
won't be hurt,
if I was just to
raise your pay.

We'll explore this more
at half-past noon.
